Launched in December 1999, Aspective states that it was Europe's first e-business ASP (application service provider) to specialise in the delivery of high-end, front-office applications. Aspective also says that it was the first ASP to offer in its product portfolio the ability to access these applications from mobile devices for a fixed monthly fee. As well as growing its existing operations in the UK, France and Spain, Aspective plans to hire more than 200 people to staff new offices in Europe, Middle East and Africa, to provide consultancy, implementation and support services to local markets. The first new offices will be in Germany, The Netherlands and Sweden. Aspective works with its partners - including Siebel, BroadVision, Lotus and Exodus - to design, develop, host and run applications on its clients' behalf. Aspective takes responsibility for installing, configuring, running, maintaining and upgrading the equipment and software, while providing training, customisation and support services as required. Aspective contractually commits to providing these services for a fixed, pre-determined, pre-agreed monthly fee.
