The implementation of the e-supply-chain idea within Europe is a hot management topic. But the reality is that many of the new requirements that have emerged from this idea cannot be fulfilled by third-party logistics companies. The more that e-technologies are used for business transactions, the more it becomes apparent that the required logistics, which should ensure the smooth physical transaction of electronically supported business processes, are inadequate.
