JetForm’s aim is to help organisations extend their reach, quickly and economically, to integrate people to processes and core business systems. The need for interaction between people and systems inside enterprises was recognised by GartnerGroup in an October 2000 report. In Gartner’s view, organisations need to move rapidly from the stovepiped style of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) applications, and engage in ‘collaborative processes’ (c-commerce) to remain competitive. Gartner said the fundamental value proposition of the traditional ERP and CRM system was being forced to change. It added that many leading companies would meet architectural and technological barriers that create a difficult transition to c-commerce. In the past, JetForm maintains, there were nightmare scenarios of sustaining DLL integration. Now, the prospect of EAI (enterprise application integration) brings an expense associated with sustaining system-to-system adaptors – without including people-facing applications. JetForm’s e-Forms and e-Process capabilities are engineered to interact between people, process rules and applications. |
