Mark Hyde: the collaborative supply chain works harder on behalf of organisations to ensure that customers are happy

In today’s fluctuating and unpredictable economy, organisations are undergoing rapid reform. There is a desire to ‘do business faster’ and companies realise that in order to achieve this business goal they have to look at how they can better use collaborative technology, such as supply chain tools, within their enterprise.

Emerging tools are beginning to offer promises of seamlessly linked supply chains that – fuelled by real-time data – will co-ordinate and ultimately optimise supply chain networks across the extended enterprise. Such promises address a market desperately trying to come to terms with a series of challenges all hitting it at the same time.
